I have SIJ Dysfunction- MRI is normal and Physical Therapy didn't help- Is Prolotherapy an option?

Caring Medical & Hauser Neck Center

Prolotherapist Danielle Matias, MMS, PAC discusses a pretty common scenario of patients who are diagnosed with sacroiliac joint dysfunction but whose MRI is normal and they try some physical therapy but it doesn't resolve the issue. The reason for this is most frequently underlying ligament laxity in the region causing SI joint instability. When ligament laxity/joint instability is found, Prolotherapy is a great option worth exploring because it stimulates ligament repair and tightening.
