First off, EVH is my guitar hero. I've idolized this dude since I picked up an electric guitar. Eruption has always been that bucket list song for me. Second off, I'm NOT EVH lol
Last week, I had an epiphany on my journey to electric guitar domination...I realized that I've been playing the same pentatonic boxes and power riff licks for the better part of four years. Also, I don't "practice" the guitar. I turn on my amp and make random noises for a few minutes here or there and then continue on my merry way.
Which is what brings me to this video. I decided to tackle Eruption and dedicate serious practice time to this thing. The whole seven days thing was just an afterthought to see what was possible.
I dedicated an hour a day to learning and practicing the piece. I'll definitely carry on with the daily practice in the future and continue tightening up this song.
