Like my title says, did i just figure it out?!. I see peoples wood shops in videos and pictures, and I've always wonder how they ran the power to their larger tools more central in their shops. No one ever talks about it! Except for the people who ran conduit through their floors when building their shops, and although I thought about that when building my shop at the time I had no clue where my tools would ultimately end up. Well I made a leap in this video, and came up with a plan to figure out what worked best for me, and these power columns made the most sense for me. Along with helping eliminate the use of extension cords and making it more convenient to power these tools up, it also will give me a good way to mount the vertical 6" ducting for the dust collector I'll be installing (coming real soon!)

Most of this was built out of materials I already had laying around in my shop. ie 4x4 posts, osb, receptacles, and boxes, 3/4' plywood.
