Here I show you how to potentially save your laptop if you spill something on it. The concept is simple pull the power and the battery. Take the hard drive out to preserve data. Rinse the laptop and let it dry for at least 72 hours. The wait is the hardest part. Turning it on before it is completely dry can fry the laptop.

Update: in the video the touch pad stopped working however after an extra day it is functioning again.

Please note if you spill a little it is still probably better to get the keyboard repaired by a professional. However if it is drenched may as well try this method.
