I stopped using Pivot Tables. Here's Why

Follow
Excel Dictionary

It’s officially time to retire Pivot Tables now that Excel released the PIVOTBY function. This new dynamic function allows you to create Pivot Tables in seconds by writing a formula and addresses the limitations of using a Pivot Table.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to quickly summarize large data sets using the new PIVOTBY function and all of its arguments. You will learn how to set up the table by selecting the row fields, column fields, an aggregation function, adding or removing headers, adding or removing grand totals or subtotals, and more. Then, you will learn how to analyze the table by sorting and filtering the data!

Lastly, you’ll learn the advantages of using the PIVOTBY function over a Pivot Table. You’ll even learn how to summarize text values!

Are you team PIVOTBY or PIVOT TABLES? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
