Hi Future Nurses,
I got to take part of the ✨ACTUAL✨ Next Generation NCLEX Exam as a beta tester for their pilot program.
First and foremost: I have heard so many people say this test will be harder to pass. Honestly, I think it is the opposite. If you have struggled to pass the NCLEX in the past, you may have a better chance at passing this type of exam for these reasons:

1⃣ There are 6 new question types: extended multiple response, extended drag & drop, matrix style, dropdown "cloze", highlighting, and bowtie. If you have attention issues, this will help not make the test so monotonous (repetitive) with the same question formats.

2⃣ Partial scoring is now allowed!!! HALLELUJAH! Thank you to NCSBN Gods for doing this! On the old NCLEX, you would either pass/fail a question, now you can get points for what you got correct! This is a gamechanger!

3⃣ Lab values differ from various institutions, facilities, etc. Now the NCLEX will provide you a lab value reference so you know what is abnormal vs. normal for ranges.

4⃣ This test is geared towards visual learners. The case studies simulate realworld experiences and allow you to visualize that YOU are the nurse in this scenario so what are you going to do?

5⃣ The Next Generation NCLEX still uses Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT). This is where the computer will estimate your knowledge each time you answer a question to provide you with questions suited to your ability level.

6⃣ Not test related, but you are a rockstar that passed Nursing School! You did what most people cannot. You already proved that you are smart and capable enough to pass this exam!

⚠ Important Exam Information: You get 5 hours to complete a minimum of 85 questions and a maximum of 150 questions.
