Ian Beard was cleaning his drain pipe when his finger was bitten by a funnel web spider.

His wife called the ambulance and Ian was rushed to the hospital to save his life.

While shaking uncontrollably, he was given life saving antivenin.

Thanks to the quick work of the ambulance and hospital staff, Ian survived to tell the tale.
