When Megan Peterson was 14, she was raped and sexually assaulted — sometimes inside the church confessional booth — over the course of a year by her parish priest Joseph Jeyapaul.

How is a child supposed to grow up to trust anybody if they’re abused by a teacher/member of church/anybody with authority? Absolutely unforgivable.

Almost 1,700 priests and clergy accused of sex abuse are unsupervised. Why has the Catholic Church taken so long to address child sexual abuse anyway? WE HAVE TO STOP THIS!
