NOTE:

This was a connecting flight that was almost missed by a matter of minutes! The flight prior to this was not only late, but had parked at the complete opposite end of the airport. A mad dash was made across the North Terminal and to a lift down to the subterranean transit system. But the lift doors wouldn't open, and then the lift went back up again! The doors STILL wouldn't open, and down again it went! I couldn't believe it! Once it had gone down again I literally forced the doors apart and escaped!

Waiting 3 minutes for the train seemed like an eternity. After it trundled along a tunnel at a snail's pace, another mad dash across the South Terminal was needed, where the A340600 was nearly fully loaded and waiting. THEN, our prebooked and paid for seats were literally given away before our very eyes to other passengers who I guess might have been on standby. So once on board, a stern talking to the cabin manager was needed to get our original seats back!

I've never had an experience like it. Late planes, mad dashes across an entire airport, killer lifts, and passengers already in your seats once you get there!

It's genuinely a miracle this flight is here to be watched and enjoyed. Absolutely everything tried to not let it happen. Oh and the luggage didn't make it. That landed the next day.

What a trip.
