Some of you know that every September I like to get out and do a really cool solo backpacking trip. What could be cooler than the Iceline Trail! Yoho National Park is a premier hiking destination, surrounded by glaciers and waterfalls. While Lake O'Hara gets all the attention (deservedly so), the Yoho Valley is a beautiful place to visit as well. The Iceline can be done as a long loop trail or and out and back as a day hike, but I elected to spend a couple nights out on the trail to explore the valley. The areas around the ACC's Stanley Mitchell Hut and the Twin Falls Chalet are truly beautiful and well worth the efforts to go see.

There are three backcountry campsites in this area and even a frontcountry site for those who like to camp when they explore. Watch to see more of this amazing area:
