The angel has made it so the Wotan will detonate, destroying the entire city of Nazagora and AntiEntropy's underground base with it. This is why the angel was in no hurry. Einstein and Tesla open a rift portal to the Sea of Quanta that Asuka will move the Wotan into, allowing it to explode safely inside the Sea. She barely races there in time, but the Wotan's pilot eject system malfunctions, preventing her from escaping. She accepts her fate, glad to have been able to help this bubble universe fight against the angels.

Onboard the Hyperion, Rita and Zhuge Kongming share some jam tea and discuss the whereabouts of the captain, who has been universe hopping again. Kongming suspects that he's just doing that as an excuse. Rita suggests that everyone the captain brings back onboard causes a lot of trouble which includes Rita and Kongming, who both agree. Suddenly, the Hyperion's AI (doesn't seem to be Aichan, unfortunately) detects signs of life nearby. Upon zooming in the camera, it is revealed to be Asuka, still alive and with her lance of Longius beside her.
