Sir Cliff Richard has backed students in Jill Dando News across the world who are keeping the name and legacy of his good friend Jill Dando alive.

He is also delighted their positive stories are putting a smile on the faces of people everywhere they are read.
He was speaking on the 24th anniversary of Jill’s death, with a video message at her former school Worle Community School Academy in Somerset, England.
Jill Dando News was set up out of the school in 2017 and is spreading worldwide.
He said: “If ever we need good news it is today. Jill was a great friend of mine and a sad loss to the world really but you can keep her name alive.
“If you can get there, be the journalist that faces facts and keeps all of us with a smile on our face because you write stories that are good to read.”
