If your Ex was Narcissistic or selfcentered or toxic, you need to understand how much that relationship affected you. Maybe it left you questioning your worth and value, maybe it left you questioning your ability to spot red flags, or maybe it just left you confused and sad. My point is, if we aren't careful, we could fall back into a toxic relationship again OR we could go deep into protective mode (understandably so) and actually sabotage our next relationship that might be with a good person.

I want you to have a mutually fulfilling, mutually respectful relationship with intimacy and friendship and emotional connection, that's the relationship you deserve, one where someone is consistent and actually has a desire for safety and closeness in this relationship. It's possible! But especially if we had a narcissistic ex, there's a few things we need to watch out for first.
