Since launching its IndoPacific Strategy in 2022, the US has expanded its strategic partnerships across the region against a backdrop of continued SinoUS strategic competition, tensions in the IndoPacific, Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and the IsraelGaza conflict.  In this opening plenary, the US provided an update on the implementation of its IndoPacific strategy, the direction of US regional military posture, and the role of partnerships in security challenges in the IndoPacific.
