Shōkaku 翔鶴 is one of the two aircraft carriers of her class along with Zuikaku. She participated in the Attack on Pearl Harbor 1941, Indian Ocean Raid 1942, Battle of Coral Sea 1942, Battle of the Eastern Solomons 1942, Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands 1942. Fortunately, while Kido Butai was destroyed in Battle of Midway 1942, she survived due to being repaired. She was sunk in the Battle of the Phillipine Sea 1944.
