I'm back! And it’s been a MINUTE. I’ll dive into everything that’s been going on in my life in a later video, but today I want to talk about something that’s really been weighing on me. I’ve always had a great respect for “the masters” and so much of my study and understanding is built upon them. I think I’m REALLY restarting this journey because frankly, I feel so much more confident it what I believe and (more importantly) that these ideas and the language surrounding vocal study is simply bigger than any one person’s understanding. The language is ever changing and my own soul is ever growing and learning and exploring. ♥

Today, I’m reading the preface and introduction from Vocal Wisdom, written by Lamperti’s student W. E. Brown. While Brown provides the background, I can’t help but reflect on the ongoing debate (Me vs. Me) between science and innate musicality.
