Importance of the cervical spine curve- DMX review of tinnitus and headache case

Follow
Caring Medical & Hauser Neck Center

Ross Hauser, MD reviews the primary findings on a Digital Motion Xray from a patient suffering from head pain and pressure, as well as tinnitus and light sensitivity. What is most striking is that the normal curve is lost, causing undue stress on the spinal cord as it travels along the curve of the neck. This is, unfortunately, very common in patients with chronic headaches and neurological symptoms and is not found on traditional MRI. In our office, we look at the spine under movement and stress maneuvers that mimic reallife situations that can bring about or worsen symptoms. This approach helps us pinpoint the areas that are unstable and in need of treatment. It can also help verify if surgery is really necessary or a less invasive treatment would be better, like Prolotherapy.

We would love to see how we can help you if you are suffering from neck pain and neurological symptoms without definitive answers. Often, we are the last stop for patients who have been to dozens of other specialists. So, for us, your case is probably pretty typical even if your local providers and university hospitals are baffled with how to help you resolve the issue.
