On The Scene: Cubans said to be "impressed" by the Russian navy frigate stationed at Havana on Thursday (June 13) after being allowed to tour it. To visit the ship, Cubans formed long queues at the entrance to the Havana Cruise Terminal, where tourist cruise ships usually depart. Russian navy frigate and a nuclearpowered submarine churned into Havana harbor on Wednesday (June 12), a stopover the U.S. and Cuba said posed no threat but which was widely seen as a Russian show of force as tensions rise over the Ukraine war. The Russian vessels are expected to remain in Havana until June 17, Russia's defence ministry has said.
