Imran Khan is a politician and former cricketer who served as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2018 to 2022. One of the alltime cricketing greats, he won the 1992 World Cup. He founded the Pakistan TehreekeInsaf (PTI) party in 1996. As Prime Minister, Khan oversaw the country’s response to the SARSCoV2 pandemic. However, perceived failure to tackle corruption and declining performance in economic and social indexes led to a successful noconfidence motion. This address was delivered shortly before his 2022 protest march on Islamabad.
