Heidi L. Fritz was enterred in the Chicxulub cemetery, Chicxulub, Yucatan on the 4th of April, 2022. She was born in Bolivia and lived in Progreso, Yucatan for almost 30 years. She wanted to be buried according to local tradition and so will remain enterred for three years after which her bones will be distributed to her family. This video chronicles the decoration of her tomb on November 22, 2022 using colored glass that Heidi had secured from a recycling center. Gabriela FritzWatson and Adrian SabPas crushed the glass and mixed it with resin to adhere to the surface of the tomb according to an outline they both designed. Together with Chris Watson, Ann Fritz and Gary N. Fritz, they decorated the tomb on a warm, breezy Yucateco day. The audio used in this video was one of Heidi's favorite songs from one of her favorite groups, "Vuelvo Para Vivir" by Illapu.
