The Centre on Saturday announced the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) in which government employees will get an assured pension, family pension and an assured minimum pension. The new pension scheme will come into force from April 1, 2025.

The liedetection test of Sanjay Roy is being held in the prison, while the remaining six, including former Principal Dr. Sandip Ghosh, four hospital employees who were on duty during the night of the incident, and a civil volunteer, are underway at the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) office in the city.
Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, who have been aboard the International Space Station (ISS) since June as part of Nasa's Boeing Crew Flight Test, will continue doing science work aboard the station, until their scheduled return in February 2025.
