In this video, I show you how I lay a 13m² Indian Sandstone patio with 4 different sizes of slabs. The slab sizes I used are 1ft x 1ft, 2ft x 2ft, 1ft x 2ft and 3ft x 2ft. The Indian Sandstone slabs were laid on a 30mm to 40mm bed of sharp sand, building sand, and cement mix.. 4 to 1 ratio using a random pattern, also breaking up the joints too. The patio was 13m² and the Indian Stone pack was 15m² which left a few slabs over.
The Indian Stone slabs come in a pack form, so whatever square meter you need you can get a pack that will be somewhere near.
The job I did this for was a good friend of mine DS Bell Developments and he has got his own building firm. The guys set out the base & aco channel so it was all set out ready for me to lay the slabs. They did a great job doing this!
I also made good of the block paving from the driveway to match up with the new patio.
