A moderate but technical hike (~8 miles) along the Bison Way Trail, Sheltowee Trace and other unmarked trails in the area.

This route contains the worldfamous Indian Staircase, many excellent overlooks, Indian Arch and Adena Arch, the Ohm Dome, the Meadow and more.

To reach the trailhead from Slade exit, turn left and then left again onto KY 15. Go approximately 1.4 miles and turn right on KY 77. Follow 77 through the Nada Tunnel, across the Red River and to KY 715. Follow 715 approximately 3.5 miles to a parking area located just before the twolane bridge that crosses Gladie Creek.

Correction: The location of Indian Arch on the video map is slightly incorrect. Instead of being at the intersection where the rim trail hits the Sheltowee Trace, it is further right near the beginning of the Adena Arch trail.

Note: This video depicts only a tiny fraction of the vast wilderness around the Red River. Plan ahead to avoid dehydration, exhaustion, inclement weather, and dangerous falls. Getting lost will obviously exacerbate all the above risks.
