From excelling in martial arts like ‘thang la’ to making a mark in shooting, Manu Bhaker's journey is nothing short of inspirational. Born on 18 February 2002 in Jhajjar, Haryana, she began her shooting career at 14 after the 2016 Rio Olympics. Manu quickly rose to fame, defeating Olympian Heena Sidhu at the 2017 national championships and winning a silver at the Asian junior championships.
At just 16, she became the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at an ISSF World Cup. She continued her streak with a gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and added more medals at the 2021 New Delhi ISSF World Cup. Despite a setback at the Tokyo Olympics, Manu's perseverance paid off with a historic bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her story is a testament to dedication and hard work.
