This webinar for residents will introduce concepts of CompetencyBased Medical Education (CBME). It will provide an overview of residents’ role in developing their individualized learning plans and using assessment data and feedback to achieve the Core Outcomes of Family Medicine Residency Education to become board certified.

Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:

Describe the basic components of competencybased medical education (CBME)
Work toward the new outcomes they are expected to achieve in order to become certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
Participate in competency based assessment and individual learning plans
