As the field of natural language processing advances and new ideas develop, we’re seeing more and more ways to use compute efficiently, producing AI systems that are cheaper to run and easier to control. Large Language Models (LLMs) have enormous potential, but also challenge existing workflows in industry that require modularity, transparency and data privacy. In this talk, I'll show some practical solutions for using the latest stateoftheart models in realworld applications and distilling their knowledge into smaller and faster components that you can run and maintain inhouse.

PyData is an educational program of NumFOCUS, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in the United States. PyData provides a forum for the international community of users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The global PyData network promotes discussion of best practices, new approaches, and emerging technologies for data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. PyData communities approach data science using many languages, including (but not limited to) Python, Julia, and R.

PyData conferences aim to be accessible and communitydriven, with novice to advanced level presentations. PyData tutorials and talks bring attendees the latest project features along with cuttingedge use cases.
