Janet Gunn stars in this thriller as Fire Chief Darcy Hamilton who is investigating a string of suspicious fires. Meanwhile her rebellious daughter hasn't gotten over her parent's divorce and viciously resents her, wreaking havoc on their home life. When the fires become a rolling inferno and start to threaten the entire town, everyone becomes a suspect. When the mayor (Dean Stockwell) is more concerned about scaring away tourists, and refuses to evacuate the area, Darcy has more than one problem she has to contend with.
