Note:
I've found random times when Pattern Along Path does not add the tiles to a line segment.
It happened a few times when the line segment had a corner node on each end and the rest of the nodes were smooth.
The solution is to use the Nodes tool to insert a new corner node near each end of the line segment and then apply Pattern Along Path again.
