This video showcases the InnoWave Unity 20 Ultrasonic Irrigator, but all information for the InnoWave Unity 15 Ultrasonic Irrigator is similar and should be followed appropriately.

Some of the key information included in the inservice video includes:

Using the Control Panel
The touchscreen display operates the ultrasonic irrigator and is used to adjust parameters. Use the arrow symbols to scroll left and right through the menu. The large icon in the center indicates the current selection. Operator choices are typically shown at the bottom of the display. The wash menu lets you select the correct cycle from the preprogrammed and custom cycles.

The control screen also displays information during a wash cycle including temperature, current stage, time elapsed, name of the cycle, and a progress bar.

Chemistry Preparation & Replacement
The InnoWave Unity Sonic Irrigator is designed to connect to a chemistry or detergent bottle. The bottle is stored in the irrigator chemical enclosure, and detergent is drawn through a chemistry pickup when required by a wash cycle.

Loading the Ultrasonic Basket
The Unity 15 basket can hold up to 8 lumened instruments or up to 25 pounds of a mix of lumened and nonlumened instruments. The Unity 20 basket can hold up to 8 lumened instruments or up to 35 pounds of a mix of lumened and nonlumened instruments.

To load da Vinci Si or Xi EndoWrist™ instruments, locate the 2 flush ports on the instrument housing. Push the luer elbows into the flush ports on the instrument housing until they remain in place. The Y luer hose should pass over the body of the instrument to aid the arranging of the instrument in the basket.

Starting a Cycle
When it's time to wash a load, click the start menu to begin an automated cycle sequence.
The wash menu lets you select the correct cycle from the preprogrammed and custom cycles list.

Occasionally, you may need to stop a cycle before it is complete. Press the cycle pause button to pause the cycle.

You will now see the ‘Cycle Paused’ screen. Select ‘Abort’ to cancel the cycle. If the abort sequence is confirmed, the unit will automatically drain.

Maintenance
To keep the ultrasonic irrigator in good working condition, clean and maintain it regularly.
Remember to unplug the unit and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing maintenance.

In addition to manually disinfecting the unit daily, a full decontamination cycle should be run weekly. Follow all facility procedures and refer to the user manual for complete maintenance information.
