Arunchal Pradesh has 26 main tribes and 100+ sub tribes. This time I managed to reach a totally offbeat place in Arunachal called ‘Wakka Village’ they call it rarest of the rare village. No tourist or outsiders have been able to make it to this place yet. And I feel fortunate to have got an opportunity to explore this village. Probably the only place in Arunachal where Monarchy still exists. Wakka Village is dominated by people from Wancho Tribe.

I was invited here by the Tourism Department of Arunachal Pradesh to explore the new routes and villages they are planning to open for travellers. As I did that, I also got an opportunity to witness the FlagOff event of the Women Biking Expedition "ExploreBeyond" organized by the tourism department in Pasighat to spread awareness about Women's Empowerment in the state.
