After randomly bumping into Norman Negre at the NC Motorsports Hall of Fame in Mooresville we go to talking about the history of the building he owns. This modest steel building was rented by him to Alan Kulwicki in 1986 for his rookie season in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. Alan showed up with only ONE car and had two engines yet somehow managed to beat a well funded Michael Waltrip for Rookie of the year title in 86! From there he moved to a larger shop owned by ASA chassis man Dennis Frings. We take you INSIDE BOTH of these historic buildings to see where Alan did it his way.
