Did you know that Singapore actually has our very own watch factory? When creating these timepieces, precision is key. Each part has to be as precise as one micron in order to tell time accurately. That's 1/60th of a strand of hair!

Drawn by the potential of Singapore as an innovative and hightech industrial hub, Seiko established its first overseas subsidiary in 1976. The company began as a fully integrated watch manufacturer, handling everything from commercial raw materials to finished products, supported by the world's first robotcontrolled manufacturing line for precision watches.
