Inside The $35 Million Dassault Falcon 2000LXS Private Jet

0:00 Intro
This is the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS, an aircraft with a spacious cabin, advanced avionics, and cuttingedge entertainment options. Today we’re going inside the Falcon 2000LXS to talk about everything you need to know about this fantastic aircraft.

0:44 Cabin
Inside, the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS is spacious, bright, stylish, and, perhaps most important, quiet.
With more than 30 different cabin layout configurations from which to choose, the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS is highly customizable. For the purposes of this review, we’ll look at the standard floorplan configuration. The forward cabin is fitted with four ergonomically adjustable executive seats arranged clubstyle around two foldout sidewall tables. The aft cabin, or second lounge, features a total of six executive seats: two arranged clubstyle to the right, and four arranged conferencestyle around an electronic, folding hilo table to the left.
Moving to the back of the plane, passengers will find a private, standup aft lavatory with a fullsized sink and vanity and a dressing room. Past the lavatory is a dedicated baggage compartment, which can hold as many as 20 bags.
One of the things that makes Dassault’s Falcon line of jets popular is their customizability. Utilizing Dassault’s inhouse design studios and showrooms, buyers can tailor cabinetry, upholstering, flooring and other finishes to their exact specifications.
Passengers can enjoy SatCom and optional highspeed internet and WiFi systems. The aircraft is also equipped with Dassault’s signature FalconCabin HD+ cabin management system. FalconCabin HD+ is compatible with the most popular handheld devices.

3:37 Cockpit
In the cockpit, the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS features the highly advanced EASy II flight deck, which Dassault jointly developed with Honeywell and is modeled after Honeywell’s Digital Engine Operating System. Thanks to Dassault’s knowledge of fighter jet design and construction, the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS has been built to fly like a fighter jet, except smoother.
In terms of avionics, the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS is equipped with a stateoftheart Honeywell Primus Epic avionics suite. This system provides the pilot with an integrated navigation solution, which includes a digital autopilot, a multimode receiver, and a dual Flight Management System.
The flight deck also includes FalconEye, Dassault’s unique Combined Vision System option, and onboard connectivity. The FalconEye is an advanced HeadUp Display system that increases the margin of safety, especially at challenging airfields. As its name implies, the Combined Vision System combines the best of the Enhanced Vision System and the Synthetic Vision System to give the pilot a comprehensive headsup view.
The cockpit also features an advanced communication system, including a HighFrequency radio, a VHF radio, and a Satellite Communication system.
In terms of safety, the Falcon 2000LXS is equipped with a Traffic Collision Avoidance System and an Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System.
In terms of handling and maneuverability, the Dassault Falcon 2000LXS is designed to provide a smooth and stable flight experience. The aircraft features a digital flight control system, and a highlift wing design.

6:32 Engine and Performance
Talking about performance, the Falcon 2000LXS is powered by two rearmounted Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C engines with a TBO of 7,000 hours, each producing 7,000 lbs of thrust. This combination is able to push the aircraft to a maximum speed of Mach 0.862 and up to a maximum cruising altitude of 47,000 feet or 14,300 meters, with an average hourly fuel burn of 270 gallons or 1,000 liters.
The Falcon 2000LXS has a maximum range at Mach 0.80 with 6 passengers and 2 crew of 4,000 nautical miles, which is 4,600 miles or 7,400 kilometers. The plane can take off in 4,675 feet or 1,425 meters, climbs direct to 41,000 feet or 12,500 meters in just 20 minutes, and has a minimum landing distance of just 2,260 feet or 690 meters, all while maintaining a maximum net payload of 6,000 lbs or 2,720 kg and a fullfuel payload of 2,755 lbs or 1,250 kg.

7:54 Purchase and Charter Price
The base purchase price for a new Falcon 2000LXS is $35 million before options, and the charter price ranges between $6,000 and $9,000 per hour. Naturally, prices will vary depending on availability, fuel prices, ground fees, and more.

8:12 Operating Cost
While the annual fixed cost is roughly $900,000 to $1.2 million, the average hourly operating cost is estimated at $4,000 to $6,000.
