Boston Children’s John Shillito Staff Associate/Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship was established in honor of John Shillito, MD, a member of the Neurosurgery Department for 37 years. The Shillito Fellowship supports an outstanding young neurosurgeon every year as they pursue intensive, postgraduate clinical training. They are credentialed as a staff associate, and after a period of vetting will have independent admitting and operating privileges with close staff attending backup. Due to this credentialing process, the fellowship is open only to graduates of North American Neurosurgical training programs, and the candidate must either be a US Citizen, have a green card, or be eligible for an H1B visa.
