The different pieces of the puzzle are coming together in this final episode to complete the installation of the windfarm. The hookup operation has had to face new challenges, which have been successfully overcome by the professional and committed installation team.

WindFloat Atlantic, the first floating offshore wind farm in continental Europe, with the total installed capacity of 25MW, is located in the north of Portugal, 20km off the coast of Viana do Castelo. Composed of 3 units, the windfarm will be able to generate enough energy to supply the equivalent of 60,000 users each year. The project features 8.4MW turbine of MHI Vestas, the largest turbines ever to be installed on a floating foundation.
