In this video first I have detailed how this institution of Lokpal/Lokayukta known as Ombudsman in Sweden was founded in 1809. In India there have been many attempts to formally establish Lokpal and Lokayukta but finally after the very famous movement of India Against Corruption was the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act 2013 was enacted. Certain amendments have been made to it through The Lokpal and Lokayuktas (Amendment) Bill, 2016. All of these details regarding the Lokpal and Lokayuktas have been discussed by me in this video.
