With the power of Azure Synapse Analytics Serverless SQL Pools we are able to connect to and process data stored in Azure Storage, Azure Data Lake Gen1 and 2, and Cosmos DB using familiar SQL commands.
How do we report on and visualise this data using Power BI? Are there optimisation techniques we can use?
In this session we'll be covering the following:
1. Creating an Azure Synapse Analytics environment
2. Creating a Serverless SQL Pools database
3. Connecting to CSV and Parquet data stored in Azure Data Lake Gen 2 using Serverless SQL Pools
4. Using Power BI to connect to Serverless SQL Pools to visualise this data in realtime.
5. Optimisation techniques to improve performance and reduce cost
