Laura began experiencing sudden, intense back pain that led her to go to the emergency room. Doctors initially wanted to send her home with physical therapy, but she advocated for more testing. A CT scan revealed cancer and she was later diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, multiple myeloma.

She highlights how her symptoms were initially dismissed, the complexities of different treatments, including CAR Tcell therapy and bispecific antibodies and the challenges and adjustments in her life due to the diagnosis.
