Installing interior lights in passenger cars can be a djungle, both in terms of available parts and methods of assembly. In this video we are taking a short cut to easy assembly, Ultra Low cost in combination with flicker free performance. Working time per car is about 1220 minutes.

If you have more than 20 cars on your layout you may consider to in addition to connect a 100 Ohm resistor on the input of the bridge rectifier (at 9:47 in the video) (the brown cable coming from the wheels). The purpose with this extra serie resistor is to reduce the inrush current when track power is switched on.

12VDC, LED strip 10meters, 2700K warm white. Supplier: Wish $2.50/roll
Spring contact set. Märklin item 72050 (5pack).
Conductive Couplings (20pack) Märklin E115737:20
Slider (for 3rd rail) snapin with centered hole: E414940.
Electrolytic Capasitor: 220uF / 25VDC. Max diam 10mm.
Resistors 10kOhm , 1/8Watt.

Sitting passagers (12pcs) Noch item 15250.
Bridge Rectifier 2Amp SMD (Surface Mounting Device) type.
Cables AWG 36, Outside diameter: 0.5mm. Isolation material: PTFE (Teflon).
