Interlakes is the project we are currently working on (Previously named They Are Coming) which is an open world scifi thirdperson survival shooter game inspired by War of the Worlds. This video is an early gameplay of a battle with Tripods. It consists of some of the gameplay elements which we were working:
Tripod's abilities such as laser, tentacle grab and throw, stomping people and vehicles
Tripos's shield
AI for Vehicles to run away
AI for Tanks and military vehicle to engage enemy and retreat if necessay
AI for soldiers. Infantry vehicles spawn some soldiers to engage with enemy
Player can take control of any vehicles including military vehicles
Weather system and dynamic day / night cycle

Nothing in this video is finalized and graphics, models and gameplay elements are subject to much change and improvement. Main character is also temporary and may change in future. As always our main focus will be on making better gameplay.

So, what is Interlakes?

In Interlakes, nights are more challenging than days and alien activity will be higher and cars have important role in your game play. Interlakes is a survival game in which you can explore an open world and search many houses. Searching some houses may be a bit challenging and even dangerous. You'll encounter different kinds of enemies, both alien and human. Destruction will be a major feature in future. In addition to a battle with tripod like in this video, you can expect some exciting moments and encounters with Tripods which will include running, hiding and stealth. There will be more weapons also.

Besides the main game, we're also working on a Tripod Mode which you can play as a tripod.
