Charlotte Van Horn ("Black Expats in Panama" Facebook Group Founder) Interviews Black Expats Damani & Ife Keene. They live in Sora, Panama. Sora is on some maps: El Valle is to the southwest and Punta Chame and Bejuco are due east. The nearby mountain is Pic Picacho. They live approximately 80 minutes from the edge of Panama City (Bridge of the Americas) with light to medium traffic. Gorgona (technically, it is Nueva Gorgona) is about 30 minutes add 5 minutes to the beach. Coronado is 35 minutes from us. Major shopping there.
I enjoyed chatting with the Keenes and getting a glimpse into their love story. The Keenes have lived in Panama for 16 years. They share their experiences, how they selected Panama and the particular area they live in. They also talk about medical attention, neighbors, speaking Spanish and other perspectives. They share with us about the book they have written during their time in Panama. The book is “Clandenstine.” Learn more at www.clandestinelife.com and the book is now available on Amazon.
