Dora Wang of the New Canadian Global Music Orchestra gives us an introductory lesson to the bamboo flute. She goes over embouchure, a simple scale, how to change your airstream to play in different octaves, and explains the different key flutes.

Dora started her musical journey with piano, but soon took on a variety of Chinese folk music instruments, including the bamboo flute (dizi). She also plays xiao and hulusi. When she came to Canada, she established an allfemale miniorchestra called "Melody of Bamboo Music".
