Absolutely incredible! Introducing Chat GPT 4 o!

Open AI announced a new flagship generative AI model on Monday that they call GPT 4o — the “o” stands for “omni”. This is their latest, fastest, cheapest, smartest and most capable model and they made it free.

Open AI CTO Mira Murati said that GPT 4o provides “GPT4level” intelligence but improves on GPT4’s capabilities across multiple modalities and media.

GPT 4o is a step towards much more natural humancomputer interaction—it accepts as input any combination of text, audio, and image. It generates any combination of text, audio, and image outputs. It can respond to audio inputs in as little as 232 milliseconds, with an average of 320 milliseconds, which is similar to human response time in a conversation.

It matches GPT 4o Turbo's performance on text in English and code, with significant improvement on text in nonEnglish languages, while also being much faster and 50% cheaper in the API.

It has this incredibly realisticsounding voice with sarcasm, excitement laughs, and jokes, it's even flirtatious at times. I'm sure all those AI girlfriend apps out there are getting excited to implement this. Remember the movie "Her"? Well, this AI assistance is like HER.
