This video introduces the hyperbolic functions cosh and sinh. In addition to giving the edefinition of the new functions, we examine their origins using a graph of a hyperbola. This video also introduces the hyperbolic tangent function, tanh. There are many interesting analogies between trigonometric functions and hyperbolic functions, and some of them are mentioned in this video.
