RNAV, and its approaches, is a huge topic that can be exciting, confusing, and controversial. This video attempts to shed some light on the topic in both Powerpoint form and actual flights in XPlane to demo 4 of the basic varieties of RNAV approaches. Caveat: this is not an exhaustive look at RNAV approaches by any means, and leaves a lot of room for further research and discussion.
