Today I try to address two much debated topics in the sporting world: prerace tapering and super compensation.

Precompetition tapering consists of reducing training volume in the weeks preceding a sporting competition.
So in these two weeks I will definitely reduce the volume of my workouts, reducing the km, but maintaining the intensity of the workouts. We'll find out how to reduce training after I talk to you about super compensation.

Super compensation, on the other hand, is a very abstract and impractical theory which says that starting from an initial physical or fitness condition, following a training stimulus, the physical condition drops, if we take an adequate period of rest, then our body will give us a physical condition superior to the starting condition.
All very nice in theory, but in practice it is extremely difficult to understand what value a peak can give us, we have glucose, tiredness, hypertrophy, body composition... it is so difficult that this theory has been overcome.
However, I am not a pro, so I can easily experiment to my heart's content and I decided to test the effects of this theory on myself, based on past experiences.

So I'll try to create two weeks where I train the first few days of the week (SundayWednesday), then do recovery the last few days (ThursdaySaturday) and expect to be at my peak on Sunday. If I feel like it I'll try to do an unloading run on Thursday.

I will do this for two weeks in a row, so as to see the effects already in the first week and possibly correct the aim.
