Canada recently announced its latest immigration plan, with a target of welcoming half a million newcomers per year by 2050. However, the immigration system is still seeing a significant backlog across the board. Foreign workers and international students have been waiting to get their applications processed some are even forced to leave the country. We examine the state of Canada's immigration system.
