In this video I explain and show the data for ESO. As I mention in the video MMOs keep their true numbers behind locked doors, so that when the games take a dip in players they do not spiral into everyone leaving. So here we take the information from reliable sites that we can see in both popularity trends and actual population, compare for the sake of seeing if they're both sensibly reliable (of course if both had shown patterns nothing like the other I would have just stopped using them right there). From there we were able to see why we got peaks, and then moved to making hypothesis of why were are seeing valleys. Sorry if this is too numbernerdy but this is what I love to do outside of gaming lol
