It’s only the second week of 2024 and already Janet has got some big opinions to share on her first show back! She’s recently found herself in a debate with Kirstie Allsopp, who in a recent interview claimed she thought banning building detached houses would benefit the environment, and restore a sense of community spirit. And it looks like Kirstie may be onto something (sorry Janet…) as so many people are now struggling to get on the property ladder with a lack of affordable housing crippling first time buyers. So, could rethinking how we build houses help solve this problem? Or is the property ladder essentially unclimbable? Linda says she’d have to die before her kids can get on the property ladder. And Janet’s convinced unused offices and department stores could be the key to solving Britain’s housing crisis.
