The Tesla Model Y has just been released in the UK for the first time with 7 seats and here I will show you how much room there is in the back. I tested one a couple of years ago in the US and assuming they have not revised the design since then, you'll find it's a very limited space for that third row of seats. Adults do not fit, but smaller children will… just about!
The roof line is just too low at the back to allow any headroom and there is not enough space for any legs unless the middle row is forward, which means the first row also has to be forward.
Will the new juniper, due to arrive in 2025, offer anything better? We suspect probably not.

But what else is there?
Mercedes EQB is similar in size, a compact SUV but as it is more square, it has a fair bit more room for the rear row and more practicality in the boot space.
Mercedes EQS is a big luxury Electric SUV but even though it's big, I do not fit in that one either. Again, children only.
I think the forthcoming Volvo EX90 sounds promising. It's bigger, likely to be rather expensive, but probably the most practical 7 seater EV except for..
The Kia EV9 this beast of a car offers a huge cabin and fairly generous space for 7 people.

Otherwise you may have to consider more vanderived electric vehicles like the Mercedes EQS. Ive had one, loved it, huge and comfortable with over 200 miles of range from a very big battery. ID.Buzz is also coming with 7 seater options. But the van based EVs, whilst good, still do feel like you are driving a van. They do not have the performance, they can be harder to park and do not have the SUV style that so many like.
